You already have it in writing. It is in your policy. Ask them to tell you the page number and paragraph so that you can see it for yourself.

The reason they would not 'give it to you in writing' is because that would be amending a current policy. That can't be done. It's either in your current policy or it is not. If it is in the current policy, then all you need is to ask them for the page number and the paragraph.
