: : Being pressured by agent to sign now at ages 49 and 52 so rates won't be substantially higher. Policy being offered by Primamerica agent.
If you are feeling pressured, something is wrong. You should feel good good about your decsion to purchase a LTC policy.
The rates will increase as you get older, but companies have different rate tables. Some use nearest age, some use actual age and some allow you to backdate the policy 60 days to capture a younger age.
Work with a LTC professional who is credentialed and experienced in the LTC market and does not pressure you. An independent agent is best because he can offer a variety of carriers that can meet your need.
It has been my experience that Primeamerica agents are part-timers and are not credentialed- yours may be different.
