It must not have been a long term care insurance policy, Joseph, because a long term care insurance policy is 'guaranteed renewable' which means that the insurer cannot 'drop' anyone as long as they pay their premium on time.

It sounds like she had some kind of medical insurance policy. It could not have been a long term care insurance policy.
