Yes! Now is the time to look into the purchase of LTC. As you get older, it gets much more expensive. I write LTC for a number of companies (mostly UNUM/Provident and MetLife). Most people do not look at this until they get up in age and then it can become prohibitively expensive. There are many different options and benefit periods to choose from. Find an agent who KNOWS LTC. They will help you make the right decisions and work with you to design a policy that meets YOUR needs.
