Like most long term care insurers, John Hancock comes out with a new LTCi product about every 2 or 3 years. Their newest product is expected to become available in 2002.

"Newer" product does not necessarily imply "better" product. Many of the products that have come out in the last year or two have not been better than those products which they replaced.
