Ron, thanks but that was a rhetorical question to my good buddy Scott. I am fully aware of all the UNUM plans. You solidified my argument however. Many times people (much like the media) only tell partial truths to sel a point or their position...PURE SPIN!!!

Thanks again,

: : : Steve,

: : : Maybe some misguided MGA's are explaining the UNUM policy that way, but that's not the way the policy is written. The Advantage I policy, even though it has a 'monthly benefit', it only pays 1/30th of the monthly benefit for each day that care is received. So, if someone receives one day of care, the policy pays 1/30th of the monthly benefit.

: : So now I guess you want all of us to beleive that's UNUM's ONLY LTC policy??????

: : NUTS!

: Steve,
: It's not Unum's ONLY policy, but it's the one they sell the most of, by a large margin! The Advantage I pays a DAILY indemnity, unless one buys the Total Home Care plan, which is MUCH more expensive.

: The Advantage Plus, while a better plan, is rarely sold. The Advantage I plan is being retired from the market on December 31 of this year. It is to be replaced by a reimbursement policy, which will be priced higher than the Advantage I plan.

: I don't yet have details on the new product.

: Ron
