Maybe some misguided MGA's are explaining the UNUM policy that way, but that's not the way the policy is written. The Advantage I policy, even though it has a 'monthly benefit', it only pays 1/30th of the monthly benefit for each day that care is received. So, if someone receives one day of care, the policy pays 1/30th of the monthly benefit.
