For aproximately the same premium, you could buy a GE policy that has some benefits that are included in their policy, not riders. Pru is a good a contract, at your age I would choose GE or Hancock.

: My husband and I are from Ohio, both 54 years old , and in good health. We researched many LTC insurance policies, did side-by-side comparisons, talked to various carriers, and even called LTC assessors directly to discuss policy triggers, benefit parameters, payment methods, etc.
: We have a Prudential policy with $120 a day benefit, 100% home and community coverage, 5% compounding, 30 day elimination period, lifetime benefits, for their preferred cost of $1445 each.
: Now we are in the 30 day review and acceptance phase. Is there anything else we should be doing at this phase of the process besides going over the policy's information in depth?
