For that price, I hope that you got at least $200 per day, UNLIMITED benefit period, and 5% Compounded inflation.

But, even so, if you did a little shopping you could probably find a top notch company that would give you the same or better benefits for about $1,200 per year less premium than what you were quoted from GE Capital. In 5 minutes on my LTCi software, I found a company with better financial ratings than GE that was $1,200 per year less.

In some cases GE is very competitive. In other cases they are very expensive. It depends a lot upon your health history, lifestyle choices, and marital status.

GE is usually very expensive for single people, but much more competitive for couples.

But, the key is to find an agent who specializes in LTCi who can help you do the comparison shopping and find the best value for you.
