Steve,
I expected a reply like this with this hot issue. That is why I opened up this discussion. I know I will never be able to convince you of the advantages of a captive agent.

I still stand by opinion that it is almost impossible to know the nitty gritty of all companies' policies.

Was it not you who mentioned incorrectly the "gatekeeper' feature from GE? It sounds like a smal detail, but it can scare clients away if you make those statements and comparisons. I know I can bring up some more issues about 'my policy' you will likely never have explained to a client.

I know that you are a specialist, I have read your posts and agree with most of them. I appreciate your input.

All I am saying is, shop around, not just companies, but also agents. Captive/independent, anybody. Please tell me that you agree with that.

Even though we will never agree on this, let's keep it professional in this board and refrain from remarks as "what have you been smoking or drinking". I too am a professional, just with a different opinion.

Best to you,
Klaas
