: : Has anyone had experience with Mutual of Omaha's Long Term Care policies or does anyone have any information or data on this company's LTC policies, history, rates, ratings, etc.
: : Thanks.
: Mutual of Omaha actually has a very good plan. Of course it's not for everyone. Make sure you are working with an independent financial professional and not a captive Mutual of Omaha agent. That way you'll be sure the policy you get is the right one for you. If you have any more questions feel free to call me at 419-867-6995 or e-mail. Good Luck!
I've gotten quotes and reviewed policies from Allianz, GE, Hancock, CNA, and now Mutual of Omaha. Allianz was by far the most expensive, with GE coming in at a much lower 2nd most expensive. Hancock and CNA were about the same in costs, but MoO was by far the least expensive. I was not looking for a solve all, do all, gold plated policy, but something I could afford and not waste my money. I got (at 52) $150/day for 5 years, 5% compound inflation (necessity), survivorship, 90 elimination, and +10% boost to benefit amount for 1st 90 days for $56/month premium. Hancock was about $80 for same thing in a 4 year. GE was about $92, and Allianz about $150.
