Mary,
Some conditions will cause you to be rejected by all reputable companies and other conditions will be considered by some companies and not others. Rejection by one company is not an automatic rejection by all.
It is very important to speak to an agent who represents several companies. That agent should be able to guide you to the company that will look at your medical history in the most favorable light.
If the application asks if you have been rejected for insurance before, answer truthfully. You do not want to be rejected because you falsified your application.(Medical Information Bureau reports are available to all insurers. The MIB doesn't have your personal history, but they do know if you have been rejected by another company)
Good luck.

: If I am turned down by one company does that mean I'll be turned down by others? Will one company find out I was turned down by another?
