On CNA.com I was looking at annual CNA financial statements and in one place it said they were running thier long term care business as a "run-off operation". My question is what does run-off operstion mean?

Jamie,
It means that they are not seeking new sales of long term care insurance policies. And that they will simply manage the policies that they do have and try to make a profit by keeping their costs low.

Thank you, I don't know what CNA's "Game Play" is for long term care insurance, but it sounds like they built a fence around it to keep their options open.
