60 Minutes: Unum Provident

On a recent telecast of the news program 60 Minutes there was a segment that was highly critical of UNUM Provident Insurance Company, in particular their long term care insurance division.

Accusations were made concerning denial of coverage in some cases where eligibility seemed fairly clear. In addition the sales practices of the LTC insurance sales force were also raised.
